Position: Transport Planner - General Haulage

Location: Stoke-on-trent

Hours: Mon - Fri 9:00am - 17:30pm

Salary £28,000 - £30,000

Transport Planner Overview:

Transport Planner required to join a leading UK Transport and Road freight specialist based in Stoke-on-Trent. The role involves planning national and local vehicle and trailer resources in a cost-effective and compliant manner to achieve profitability and service excellence. Experience with general haulage and routing of 30+ vehicles is required.

Transport Planner Responsibilities:

Routing and management of 30+ vehicles
Plan and allocate all national and local vehicle and trailer resources for optimum utilization and profitability.
Prepare and produce Vehicle and Load Manifests and customer paperwork for the Warehouse and assigned drivers.
Act as the main point of contact for national drivers and liaise with internal and external customers.
Handle transport administration and update data within various operating systems.Transport Planner Experience Required:

Proven experience in transport planning and logistics for general haulage
Strong understanding of legal restrictions and compliance within the transport industry.
