Job Title: Mechanical Maintenance Technician

Location: Stanlow

Salary: £34868 – 38804/annum + overtime

Basic Hours: Monday to Friday 8am-4pm

Contract / Permanent: Permanent

Site Based / Office / Remote: Site based

Start Date: ASAP

The Role: Our client is a leading European biodiesel producer with a base at Stanlow. You’ll be working as part of a multi-skilled maintenance team, making sure maintenance activities are carried out safely, efficiently and to a high standard to ensure a reliable production unit to support a maximum output.

You’ll be working on both preventative and reactive maintenance, which can include modifications and re-engineering of plant as required. You will have previous experience of carrying out installation, operation, maintenance and repair of all plant equipment. You will be working on rotating equipment, recognising issues with rotating equipment, monitoring condition of the equipment, carrying out overhauls in a methodical and structured manner, ensuring spares are replenished in stock and critical spares are identified.

Requirements:

-        Industry recognised apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering NVQ L3 or equivalent

-        ONC in an Engineering discipline or equivalent

Experience, knowledge and skills:

-        Post apprenticeship experience working as a Maintenance (Mechanical) Technician within the Chemical or Oil/Gas Industry

-        Experience of working with Rotating Equipment (Tricanters/Centrifugal pumps preferable)

-        Knowledge of mechanical seal installations

-        Knowledge/experience of maintaining HP boiler systems

-        Experience of static equipment installations/repairs e.g. PRV’s, exchangers

-        Fault finding and preventative maintenance experience

Salary: £34868 - £38804/annum
