Job Title: Estimator (Main Contracting)
Salary: £70,000 - £95,000 (Plus additional company benefits, including share options)

This individual needs to be sharp, presentable and career driven with aspirations of joining this business for the long term as there is the opportunity to grow into an Estimating Manager in the coming years with shares available in the business.

As well as a client facing personality, this role requires strong skills in M&E building services engineering as well as strong knowledge estimating both partitioning and carpeting due to the nature of works. With project values ranging from £5 million to £30 million, they continue to deliver exceptional results while maintaining a strong connection between leadership and their employees.

This is an exciting new opening within the business suited to a hungry Main Contracting Estimator who is looking to join a firm that have kept their collaborative team culture whilst growing into an extremely successfully business which isn't set to slow down any time soon.

Key Responsibilities

Interrogate and define client briefs from site visits to produce detailed estimates.
Liaise with internal and external services teams to coordinate fully inclusive estimates.
Establish tender opportunities by understanding job specifications and drawings.
Calculate take-offs from drawings, including materials and hours, with accuracy.
Maintain the approved suppliers list.
Attend site/tender walkthroughs to cross-reference drawings and identify proactive solutions.
Understand the planning and sequencing of construction projects.
Communicate with clients to clarify unclear specifications/wording through RFIs.
Coordinate with sub-contractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing for bid submissions.
Participate in site reviews, tender reviews, tender handovers, and project close-out meetings.
Support the Estimating Manager. Key Experience and Skills Required

Ideally qualified to HNC level or higher in Building Services Engineering.
Proven experience in main contracting/construction estimation, including knowledge of architectural, building services, builders' works, and civil packages.
Extensive experience in estimating and quoting.
Strong understanding of building regulations.
Ability to manage personal workloads effectively.
Proficient in MS Office (Word and Excel) and other related computer programs.
Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
Full UK Driving License with the ability to attend site/tender walkthroughs across the UK.Remuneration Package
