Electrical Repair Technician - Desford
12 month contract- likely to be ongoing for the right person!
Competitive PAYE or Umbrella rates discussed upon application
07:00-16:00 Monday - Thursday and 07:00-10:30 Friday, potential for overtime
We are looking for a skilled and self-motivated Electrical Repair Technician to join a dynamic repair and assembly team based in Desford. If you're passionate about diagnostics, fault-finding and problem-solving across a range of machinery - this could be your next challenge!
No two days are the same. You will face new challenges daily across a wide range of new machinery, from complex electrical issues to minor mechanical problems. You will work within a close-knit team of five, where collaboration and a keen eye for detail are key.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Diagnose and repair electrical faults across a variety of machines, both in designated repair areas and directly on the production line
Address machine issues on production lines, including electrical and electronic problems. Identify machines with issues, prioritize them and carry out repairs on a daily basis
Read and interpret schematic drawings to identify root causes of faults
Follow risk assessments and adhere to Health & Safety procedures
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in line with 5S and Total Preventative Maintenance (TPM) standards
Who We’re Looking For:
Minimum 5 years as an Auto Electrician, with transferable skills from the wider electronics or electrical industries also welcomed
Strong electrical diagnostics and repair skills, with a keen interest in problem-solving
Comfortable using Microsoft Office
Proactive, detail-focused and a team player
