A key and rewarding position has arisen for a Building Surveyor to join a local council within the Facilities team, reporting directly to the Property Maintenance Manager.
In this role, you'll be at the forefront of the Council’s property maintenance efforts, helping oversee the provision of hard FM services, including specification, procurement, and the management of building and engineering services. You’ll work closely with regulatory and professional bodies, contractors, consultants, and internal Council members to ensure the Council’s property estate remains compliant, operational, and efficient.

The successful Building Surveyor will:
Bring a solid background in property and facilities management, with relevant qualifications in Building Surveying or Project Management.
Possess a strong foundation in managing service and maintenance contracts, with experience in meeting statutory compliance in health and safety.
Demonstrate excellent financial acumen and the ability to develop and oversee maintenance schedules for a large and varied estate.
Be flexible, responsive, and ready to support the Council’s Corporate Landlord model, actively identifying and managing assets for redevelopment or disposal.
Hold a customer-focused mindset and the adaptability needed to meet the demands of a dynamic, public sector environment.
In return, the successful individual will receive an attractive compensation package including:
£45,000-£50,000
