We are presently looking to recruit a Key Account Manager for a Midlands based 1st Tier Automotive Supplier on a six month contract.
The Key Account Manager will be responsible for all commercial activities across key automotive OEM’s, and will also have responsibility for generating quotations as well as engineering changes through the development phase through to launch.
The successful Key Account Manager will be acting as the primary interface with the customer and therefore automotive experience is essential.
Main responsibilities will include the following:
*Maintain existing business and win new business within a specified Customer area.
*Maximize profitability through negotiation with Customers, Purchasing and Engineering Departments.
*Support Program Management with professional commercial liaison with Customer contacts to ensure all commercial issues are resolved prior to launch
*Grow and maintain successful relationships with customers, decision makers and influencers
Ideally, candidates will have previous automotive manufacturing/engineering experience coupled with sound commercial acumen along with a degree qualification in engineering, management, business or finance.
The successful account manager will be goal orientated and customer focused with the ability to influence, persuade and negotiate at all levels within a business environment.
