Warehouse Operative – £13.00 per hour – Temp to Perm

Are you an experienced warehouse professional with a valid forklift licence? We are seeking dedicated individuals to join a well-established distribution company through a temporary-to-permanent opportunity. This position offers the chance to become a key part of the operations team, with an initial 13-week probationary period leading to a permanent role for the right candidate.

The Role:

* Efficiently and accurately handle all materials within the warehouse.

* Ensure the safe loading, unloading, and organization of goods using forklifts and other equipment.

* Provide high-level customer service, helping customers and suppliers at the branch with a positive attitude and attention to detail.

* Report to the Warehouse or Operations Manager and work closely with customers, suppliers, and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities:

* Inspect incoming goods for quality and accuracy against purchase orders, documenting any discrepancies.

* Use warehouse systems to book in goods, label and catalogue inventory, and pick items according to order requirements.

* Safely pack, label, and load goods onto vehicles, completing all necessary paperwork.

* Proactively communicate stock levels, shortages, and participate in regular stock counts.

* Adhere to Environmental Waste and Health & Safety standards, including proper use of PPE and equipment maintenance.

Requirements:

* Valid forklift license is essential.

* Strong attention to detail and experience in a warehouse setting.

* Customer-focused, flexible, and team-oriented with excellent communication skills.

* Commitment to maintaining high safety and compliance standards.
