Specific Duties/Key Responsibilities:

General

* Overall responsibility and ownership of the QA delivery and consistency for company projects

* Provide advice to Directors on the implementation of new or existing QA related legislation, company rules and company standards to include fire prevention (BRE)

* Undertaking ongoing reviews of all company projects QA delivery with particular focus on compliance and improvement (measure improvement through KPIs)

* Plan and manage business targets and establish QA KPIs for delivering business goals and “Levelling up” all sites

* Support the Project Managers and project team and ensure that they operate efficiently and in line with company procedures and objectives.

* Help to ensure all sites are safe site and protect all stakeholders from potential harm.

* Protect the interests of the Company and develop good working relationships with Clients, consultants, sub-contractors, and suppliers to the benefit of the Company.

* Report regularly and diligently to the Managing Director on Business performance and any issues that arise which impact the project.

* Ensure that QA audit has both the office and site files in line with the company guidance in order to maintain a high standard of records and general efficiency.

* Audit the site team and ensure they have the correct IT from the start of the project to carry out the work including any office or QA software.

* Review the administrative activities within the team and ensure they are complying with company procedures.

* Have full ownership of the QA delivery process from Tender award to end of defects (Project life cycle)

* Ensure on site Protocols are in place to address and record non-conformities from any external and internal Audits. This includes notifying the relevant trade and commercial team of any issues and costs

* Upskill the workforce though a planned training programme

Procurement

Provide guidance on how QA may affect the time and cost of projects.

Attend tender handover, prestart and preconstruction meetings as required during the project and ensure that QA is properly considered.

Health and Safety

Work with the Health and Safety advisor to develop a QA process for ensuring site is complying with best practice and project life cycle and raise any concerns with H&S advisor for follow up visit.

Quality Control

* Ensure that Subcontractors relationships are correctly managed are they are aware of any issues that require attention.

* Carry out Audits monthly and ensure compliance with company procedures and good practice.

* Champion new initiatives and QA procedures such as Field view and BRE and ensure uptake on all sites.

* Ensure defects are properly closed out by installation team post completion.

* Manage and ensure BRE (fire barrier compliance) file is completed and signed off from pre-start to handover.

Commercial Awareness

Ensure the site operates efficiently through the QA processes to reduce waste and repeat work.

Report any incorrect work that has an commercial affect including incorrect materials, Design, labour, completion, etc.

Client and supply chain relationships

Always ensure a positive company image in delivery of projects to maximise the opportunities for repeat business

Fully investigate any QA complaints with the project team and escalate as appropriate in a timely manner

Ensure a Good Supply Chain Management culture is encouraged.

Completion of Subcontractor performance reviews

Organisational duties

* Mentor, coach, support team members. Monitor training needs and liaise with Human Resources Department /compliance team to deliver these.

* Assist the Pre-Construction department as required with pre-tender information and attendance at interviews.

* Supporting our ISO accreditations and ensuring compliance with processes and forms for ISO9001/14001

* Monitor and close out issues arising from the audits and advise the Managing Director of any trends.

* Producing best practice presentations and training to all staff to “level up” all sites in all aspects of QA

* To develop monthly QA communication strategy for all sites and levels of staff to include written information, toolbox talks and management briefs

* Assisting in production of QA Bulletins (Quality Matters) and driving communication to our staff and our clients

* Report on QA issues, and statistics. This information can be obtained through our appointed Health and Safety Advisor

* Provision of quarterly board reports to Directors

* Review the Training Matrix and manage the records for directly employed staff and Subcontractors.

* Ensure our supply chain provides the correct documentation to work with us in terms of our supply chain compliance questionnaire and database
