Our client, a leading retail organisation, is seeking a Senior EPMO Analyst to join their team in London. As a key member of the Transformation Delivery team, the Senior EPMO Analyst will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful delivery of projects and maximising value for our client.

Job Purpose:

The Senior EPMO Analyst will be responsible for making decisions on behalf of the Senior EPMO Manager in their absence, impacting the allocation of capital and the projects delivered. The role involves three main areas of focus:

1. Prioritising projects to ensure the portfolio generates maximum value for our client.

2. Delivering projects on time, up to quality and within budget, providing early warnings if necessary.

3. Holding sponsors accountable for realising benefits and achieving the promised value outlined in the business case.

Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

The Senior EPMO Analyst will be responsible for managing and improving various aspects of the Transformation Delivery Portfolio, including:

Governance & stage gate lifecycle
Risks, Assumptions, Issues & Dependencies (RAID Management)
Regular Project Status Reports
Pipeline Management
Resource Allocation, Demand & Capacity Planning
Project data held in the PPM system
Conducting regular project health checks
Management of finance trackers
Deputising for the Senior EPMO Manager when required
Maintaining a broad understanding of the purpose of projects within the portfolio and their interdependencies
Providing adhoc project/programme reportingAdditionally, the Senior EPMO Analyst will act as a mentor and offer support to junior team members. They will serve as a centre of excellence within the PMO, providing guidance to Project & Programme Managers on best practises.

Project Management Certification or significant exposure to Change Delivery with IT & Business programmes
Experience in EPMO functions, managing RAID logs, and supporting Delivery Leads across Agile & Waterfall methodologies
Advanced Excel skills including Nested IF Statements, pivot tables, XLookups, etc. VBA is highly desirable
PowerBI / SQL knowledge is advantageous, specifically PowerBIMeasures / Key Performance Indicators:

Improvement in data quality within the EPMO
Increased adoption of Portfolios Status Reports by leadership
Projects delivering in accordance with set boundaries on the 7 Key Result Indicators (KRIs)
Increased pace of change delivery over an equivalent time periodKey Relationships:
