High calibre planning lawyer sought by leading firm in Birmingham city centre.
We are working with a thriving and expanding Legal 500 firm which offers both excellent work and clients, and also a family-oriented environment with scope for hybrid working. As the firm expands in 2025 an opportunity has arisen for an experienced planning senior associate to bolster its team.
You will have a broad range of planning law experience and be looking to handle a diverse caseload including, inter alia, section 106 agreements, Compulsory Purchase matters, planning appeals, section 278 agreements, enforcement, judicial reviews and challenges in the High Court, with the emphasis being on the quality of the work and client base throughout.
There will be some flexibility around levels of qualification, although it is anticipated that candidates of circa 6-10yr PQE may be the optimum fit for the opportunity.
The firm has an excellent reputation as an employer, with low rates of staff turnover and a good track record of attracting high calibre legal experts from large international firms, who are drawn to its combination of quality work and competitive remuneration but with a better work/life balance (including flexible working) than many of its competitors offer.
