Belmont Recruitment are currently looking for an experienced Multi Trade Operative to join Nottingham Community Housing on an initial 3 month temporary contract. This is a full-time role working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out external maintenance and repairs on NCHA properties, including landscaping, paths, driveways, car parks, repointing, bricklaying, and rendering.

*

Maintain and repair boundaries, including constructing and repairing walls and all types of fencing.

*

Maintain drainage systems, conducting surveys, remedial works, excavations, and replacements.

*

Undertake minor repair works such as basic plumbing, joinery, and patch plastering when required.

*

Prepare, handle, use, and dispose of materials and substances in line with safety regulations.

*

Liaise with and support other teams to ensure timely and effective completion of repairs and maintenance tasks.

*

Maintain and store all equipment properly, ensuring they are used in accordance with manufacturers' guidelines.

*

Keep accurate computerised records, provide detailed reports, and communicate any work-related issues effectively.

*

Adhere to all relevant policies, procedures, and legislation, ensuring health and safety compliance at all times.

What We’re Looking For

*

Proven experience in groundwork and external maintenance.

*

Skills in bricklaying, fencing, drainage maintenance, and general repairs.

*

Ability to carry out basic plumbing, joinery, and patch plastering.

*

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

*

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
