Position: European Claims Handler

Location: Witham

Hours: Monday to Friday

Salary: Up to £35,000

We are recruiting for one of the UK's leading logistics and freight companies that operate worldwide and offer a full range of services in the UK, across Europe and Internationally across all trade routes.

We seek a European Accounts Handler to join our client's team in the Witham area.

Your key responsibilities as a European Claims Handler:

The purpose of this role is to ensure the European Insurance claims are dealt with in a correct & timely manner and to ensure a service fit for purpose and meets both external and internal requirements, including environmental legal compliance and customer expectations.
Review and log all claims received in accordance with internal process
Investigate all claims, through paperwork, evidence gathering
Prepare claim correspondence on questions of coverage and claim value
Negotiate and settle claims within specified authority
Liaise with Customers and keep them updated through the process
Liaise with Suppliers for settlement of claims
Management reporting of claims
Requirements:

Excellent customer service
Excellent written communication
Ability to prioritise and refer issues
Previous experience in European Insurance Claims is desirable
Background within freight forwarding / CMR insurance.
Proficient in Microsoft programs such as Word & Excel
Ability to learn new systems easily
Follow the companies SOP's for compliance
Ability to work with others as part of a team
Highly numerate
Good organisational skills to manage workload
Ability to work under pressure
High attention to detail
