We are looking for a versatile Production Operative/ Technician who has some experience working in a Manufacturing/ Production Environment.

Perhaps you have been a machine minder, operatiing to certain standards with a clear eye to hand coordination.

Pay per hour is £11.44 + Holiday pay to start rising to £12 per hour, overtime is available too.

This is a Temp to Perm position for the right person leading to a salary of £23,400 per annum

The role is a support function so the tasks will vary daily depending on where the demands are within the production process but the main tasks include the following. Experience is not required but the ability to follow work instructions, an eye for detail and accuracy and comfortable in using email, and some basic Microsoft

* Train on the OPTO process.

* Filling OPTO moulds with resin, using ovens, removing OPTOs from moulds,

* Testing OPTOSs and logging results.

* Supporting end of line .

This is a team role covering, OPTO Build and Test, Encapsulation, End of Line, Casing Final Inspection and Packing.

The role includes the day to day maintenance and cleanliness of the associated equipment

* The preparation of encapsulated assemblies as required by the Company’s production schedule.

* Conventional hand assembly of cases and other small parts.

* End of Line completion of products and Packing

* Inspection of the finished sub-assemblies to ensure they meet specification and fit for production purposes.

* The updating of computer records and paperwork systems where needed.

* The tidiness and good working order of the Manufacturing department.

* To ensure all machinery is kept clean and maintained in good working order, any machinery issues to be escalated immediately.

The preparation and use of moulds.
▪ Operating a resin dispensing machine, Vacuum chamber and oven.
▪ Ability to operate in an environment where chemical based products such as adhesives and resins, solder and cleaning agents are used, some of which generate small levels of fume or dust. (Machine).
▪ The ability to lift loads up to 25kg from various locations e.g. floors, racks etc.
▪ The ability to stand for prolonged period
