The recruitment Bunker is recruiting for an experienced Project engineer – Electronics for a leading company based in Coventry.

Reporting into the Programme Director the Project Engineer-Electronics will play a pivotal role utilising various techniques to ensure that the project deliverables are completed to a high standard in line with the overall project timing.

To deliver this overall capability, they have developed its skills in project and supply chain management and put in place all the necessary quality systems and processes to allow them to deliver projects to the standards expected by our customers

Responsibilities

Management of EESE requirements capture process with associated traceability

Specification and creation of RFQ packs for procurement of EESE components.

Electronics hardware design and development support

Electronics software design and development support

Electrical harness design and development support

Integration and validation of Electro/mechanical vehicle systems

EESE environmental validation

To oversee project budgets and supervise the preliminary stages of major projects

Assessing production costs and other vital data pertaining to the project

Compiling data derived from reports, revising time schedules according to necessity overseeing the quality of work at project site

Support project review meetings

Liaise with Engineering teams, Manufacturing teams, suppliers, and customers to ensure the timely closure of all actions

Responsible for the general management of the development and production stages of projects

Produce product design and development plans

Company Policies: Follow the quality, health, safety, and welfare policies of the company

Ensuring all safety & legal requirements are being followed, interpreting clients’ necessities, pinpointing, and addressing engineering problems and implementing solutions.

Essential Skills

Good understanding of automotive legislative EESE requirements

Good understanding of functional safety

Strong experience of working within an Automotive/Manufacturing environment with relevant experience as a Project Engineer within Electrical/Electronic Engineering or within a Project Management role, in a fast paced, forward-thinking business

Liaise and communicate with other departments, suppliers, and other service providers

Ability to manage one’s own time, multitask and prioritise workload accordingly

Proven record of people & project management

Ability to produce reports and conduct meetings

Plans work and cascades to team

Integrates departmental planning with other business units

Demonstrates good emotional intelligence, ethics, and professionalism

Organised, Methodical but Flexible approach to workload

Desirable Skills

Knowledge of automotive cybersecurity

Experience and knowledge of designing project guideline and procedures

Can lead moderate teams

Engineering degree or equivalent in a relevant subject
