Seeking a compassionate, patient, and skilled Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a KS2 child with profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD). Ideal candidates are passionate about working with children with complex needs, ensuring the child's comfort, engagement, and progress.
About the role
In this role, you will work directly with a KS2 child with PMLD, supporting their academic and personal care needs. Working closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and other professionals, you will implement a multi-sensory and individualized learning plan, supporting the child’s engagement in classroom activities. The role will also involve assisting with personal care routines, communication development, and physical support, providing a stable and supportive presence throughout the school day.

Requirements
To be considered for the role of SEN Teaching Assistant you will:
Have experience working with children with profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD) or significant special educational needs is highly desirable
Have patience, empathy, and a compassionate approach to supporting children with complex needs
Be physically able to assist with the child’s mobility, feeding, and personal care
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
Relevant qualifications, such as a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant certificate or equivalent, are preferred
