Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant

Location: Carlisle

Start Date: January Start

Salary: £85 - £105 per day

TeacherActive are seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to work within an excellent SEND school based in the Carlisle area.

It is key as a SEND Teaching Assistant that you have experience supporting pupils with various additional requirements such as ASD / Autism Spectrum Disorder and ADHD. The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will have the ability to support pupils on a one to one basis and in small groups, with the confidence to manage challenging behaviour whilst creating a positive learning environment for the pupils.

The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will have:

Experience working with pupils with special educational needs
Experience handling challenging behaviour
Ability to support pupils on a 1:1 basis
Good understanding of Safeguarding and Child Protection
