Swift Placements are currently supporting our client with the recruitment of an Residential Property Solicitor 3+ Years PQE based in York. Our client is committed to attracting talented individuals and we pride ourselves on providing a supportive and inclusive environment.

Responsibilities.

* Undertake a busy and varied workload of matters advising all types of employers, with an emphasis on our financial services sector clients

* Dealing with matters such as Buying & Selling homes, Leaseholder enfranchisement, Re-mortgages, Equity release, Equity transfer, Shared Ownership, Buy-to-let and Jointly Owned Property.

* Take an active role in supervising the work of and assisting in the development of trainees and paralegals

* Take part in and initiate marketing, networking and other business development activities in order to maintain and develop work from existing clients and potential clients. This includes assisting with client seminars and delivering training

* Contribute to non-fee-earning activity as appropriate e.g. knowledge sharing, internal training

Candidate Specification

* 3 years + PQE of relevant experience

* Residential conveyancing experience

* Manage your own caseload, including sales, purchases, transfers and re-mortgages of residential leasehold and freehold property (registered, unregistered, new builds)

* Carry out lease extensions and auction transactions

* Business development skills

* IT literate with an understanding and willingness to pioneer and embrace system development to build efficiencies

* Provide support and supervision to colleagues in the team

* Exceptional communication skills with the ability to interact with clients, agents and work colleagues in a friendly and approachable manner

* Managing own caseload through effective use of case management system
