We’re looking for an experienced Machine Setter/Operator to join a leading engineering and manufacturing company at their site based in Buxton, High Peak.
As a Machine Setter/Operator, you will be responsible for operating and setting high-speed semi-automated equipment, producing components for thermostats and safety cut-outs for the automotive and domestic appliance industries.
What’s on offer?
* £25,580 - £27,720 per year
* Rotating shifts
* 6:00am – 2:00pm / 2:00pm – 10:00pm / 10:00pm – 6:00am
* Overtime available (paid at enhanced rate)
* 28 days holiday
What will you be doing as a Machine Setter/Operator?
* Operating and setting high-speed semi-automated equipment
* Producing components for thermostats and safety cut-outs for the automotive and domestic appliance industries
* Ensuring machines are set up correctly to produce parts to the required specifications
* Monitoring machine operations to detect any issues or defects
* Performing regular quality checks on finished products
* Adjusting machine settings as needed to maintain product quality
* Troubleshooting and resolving machine malfunctions
* Maintaining a clean and organised work area
* Following all safety protocols and procedures
* Communicating with supervisors and other team members to ensure smooth production flow
* Recording production data and maintaining accurate records
What do you need?
* A mechanical/technical background
* Previous experience in a fast paced, high volume production line
* Strong fault finding and problem solving skills
