Jackson Hogg have partnered with a specialist manufacturer within the food industry, based in the Newcastle area, on their search for a Compliance Manager to join the business.

Compliance Manager Responsibilities

* Build and maintain relationships with all UK Customers and act as the primary point of contact for all customer queries.

* Manage the entire specification process for our products, from initial request to final specification completed

* Responsible for maintaining all customer portals.

* Responsible for answering all customer queries & Specification requests that directly relate UK Customers for product produced either in UK or BI sourcing entities.

* Ensuring Food labling and regulatory checks are completed for all UK & EU products

* Technical representative at C2L Project Meetings, responsible for communicating key details back to wider team.

* Update the C2L proejct tracerk with relevent project details, relating to specification, artwork timing etc

* Provide technical support and guidance to the R&D

* Responsible for ensuring and where needed the specification generation process from receiving the Product Information Sheet (PIS / PIP) at the Industrialise stage of a project through to specification approval. Where relevant creating specifications on various customer portals, TQC, MCreate, Engage, APP, Wave etc within project deadline

* Responsible for tracking & spend of Specification & Cost of doing business budget. i.e. specification, customer portal, customer audit, customer own testing costs etc

* Responsible for managing all UK customer KPI data.

* Responsible for ensuring Technical Artwork approval for UK Produced product are completed and overseeing approval for BI

* Where required support day to day running of the UK site Technial team.

* Management, training and development of Complaince Team

* All reasonable requests made by the Head of Technical or Techncial Manager

Compliance Manager Desirable Requirements

* Degree or HND in Food technology or equivalent

* Level 3 Food Safety

* Level 3 HACCP

* Computer literacy (Microsoft packages), SharePoint.

* Experience in a managerial role in a food manufacturing environment.

* Experience of managing a specification process within the Food Industry •

* Experience in UK Retailer supplier food manufacturing environment

* Thorough understanding of retailer practices and frameworks

* UK & EU Food Lablling expereince
