Job Title; Accounts and Tax Senior

Salary; £25,000 to £35,000 per annum plus excellent benefits

Our client are a leading provider of professional services including accountancy and auditing, tax planning, funding and asset finance to a range of businesses throughout the UK. Due to continued, planned growth they are seeking to appoint an Accounts and Tax Senior to their Leicester office.

Accounts and Tax Senior Role;

* Produce an account working file.

* Clear arising queries with clients and produce a list of discussion points for the senior managers or partners

* Liaise with HMRC, including compliance checks

* Work within a budget agreed at the planning stage.

* Produce draft tax computations (for companies) and a provision for inclusion in the accounts.

* Inclusion of statutory disclosures in line with the company checklist.

* Plan and control professional work for the firm's clients within the firm's standard procedures and identify basic planning opportunities.

* Attend training and seminars to further develop and maintain technical and personal development skills.

* Attend training to further develop and maintain technical skills and if not yet attained to work towards a professional qualification.

* Professionally represent the firm and its interests in dealings with clients and other professionals.

* Contribute to tax advisory projects.

* Ensure that the firm’s standard processes are used in the production of compliance tax work and ensuring that technical standards are maintained.

* Seek opportunities to increase client billings and to seek new clients for the practice where possible.

Accounts and Tax Senior Candidate;

* Previous recent experience ideally within practice

* Either ACA, ACCA or CTA qualified, however part qualified would be considered

* Previous mixed tax experience gained in a practice environment

* Knowledge of Iris and Xero preferred, but not essential

* Experience of using cloud-based accountancy software

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills

* Good attention to detail

* Strong interpersonal skills

* Good organisation and time management skills
