Project Manager (Construction)
Location: Canterbury, Kent
Project Based, with flexibility for occasional remote working
Salary: £70K - £82K
We are seeking an experienced and talented Project Manager to manage multidisciplinary projects and their associated activities from conception through to completion. This role is project-based, with flexibility for occasional remote working.
About the Role
You will:
Manage allocated multidisciplinary projects ranging from £5M to £20M, covering pre-construction through to completion.
Deliver work that meets project requirements, with a strong focus on quality finishes.
Report to the Operations Manager while overseeing Site Managers (SMs) and Senior Site Managers (SSMs) as direct reports.
Take responsibility for successfully delivering education projects under JCT and NEC contracts.
Ensure outstanding customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
Ideal Candidate Profile
We are looking for a Project Manager with:
A minimum of 5 years of experience with Tier 1 contractors.
Proven expertise in education projects, with a track record of delivering schemes ranging from £10M to £40M.
Strong experience managing projects from pre-construction through to completion.
Comprehensive knowledge of JCT and NEC contracts.
Exceptional client management skills and the ability to deliver high-quality finishes.
Key Requirements
Degree or HNC/HND qualification in a relevant technical discipline, or professional equivalent.
Significant experience managing multidisciplinary projects, particularly in the education sector.
A strong understanding of commercial factors affecting project performance.
Proven leadership abilities, with experience managing teams of SMs and SSMs.
