We are looking to recruit experienced and dedicated Deputy Manager across the Wheaton Aston area. This is a full-time position.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced, qualified candidate to join the team in one of our children's residential homes. We are currently offering a very competitive salary plus benefits including a quality bespoke training package and generous remuneration for sleep-in shifts. We specialise in supporting Children and Young People who have suffered early life trauma, neglect or abuse and may display challenging behaviours.

Essential requirements :-
* Full manual driving licence
* To be fully flexible and have the ability to work unsociable shift patterns
* Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare or equivalent
* The desire to develop into a Registered Childrens Home Manager
* To participate in further continuing professional development support the needs of our young people
* To have a clear passion and desire to support children and young people
* To be active member of a progressive and committed team
Job requirements :-
* To provide positive parenting
* To have exceptional communication skills
* To have sound working knowledge of current legislation e.g., Childrens Homes Regulations 2015 (including quality standards)
* To provide support and positive role modelling to the staff team (including completing supervisions)
* Must be prepared to complete Diploma Level 5 Childrens Residential Care
* To be open minded, empathetic in a calm and professional manner
* To attend meetings etc on behalf of the Manager in a professional manner
The main duties of this role include :-
* To lead the team to deliver high quality care to our young people
* To ensure that all risks are safely managed in line with the company policies and procedures
* To communicate effectively with the team regarding the plans for the day
* To review the young people's care plans and other associated documentation
* To undertake an in-depth quality and bespoke training package
* To attend/chair staff meetings and be proactive in developing and improving the service model
* To act as an advocate for the young person whilst using a positive parenting model
* To work with young people using positive support strategies including de-escalation tools and techniques using in-house training (PRICE)
* To provide support to the Manager in order to complete day to day tasks
* To run the home in the absence of the Manager
* To complete on-call duties as and when required
Salary per annum :-
Up to £37.6k this includes sleep in allowance (£70.47 per sleep-in with an average of 11 per month) plus time and a third for overtime
