My client is a leading renewable energy company operating throughout the UK and overseas. Due to continued expansion, they have a vacancy in the North East for a Mechanical Engineer to join their team. The successful Mechanical Engineer will ideally be based in the North East in or close to the Newcastle, Blaydon, Durham, Billingham or surrounding areas and will provide support to the Operations team providing guidance and support during breakdowns.

Mechanical Engineer Requirements:

* Have proven experience of working with engines and a recognised mechanical engineering qualification to Level 3.

* Hold extensive knowledge and experience of mechanical and electrical maintenance.

* Strong fault finding and diagnostic skills.

* Able to work on own initiative.

* Experience of working with AC/DC control panels.

* Ability to take part in a callout rota.

* Flexible approach to travel and staying away from home overnight occasionally.

* IT Literate.

* Hold full UK driving licence.

Mechanical Engineer Benefits:

* Annual salary of £41,600 OTE £48K.

* Monday to Friday – 40 hours.
