Stepnell has a fantastic opportunity for a Trainee Accounts Assistant to support our expanding team. You will be working as part of the central services team alongside trained and experienced professionals to deliver work to the highest standards. You will gain competencies in a wide range of accounting techniques, enabling you to provide support to the whole team.
Key responsibilities
Stepnell operate across three regions from offices in Nottingham, Rugby, Bristol, Wantage and Southampton. The successful applicant will be based at our head office in Lawford Road, Rugby.
You will gain competencies in a wide range of activities, for example:
* Maintaining spreadsheets for the department
* Working with sales / purchase / sub-contract ledger
* Processing invoices & expense forms
* Following and using Accounts systems
* Providing administrative support to the team
* Working closely with individuals across the business at all levels
To succeed you will need:
* To be enthusiastic, committed and a fast learner with previous experience of a busy environment
* To be computer literate with an aptitude for numbers
* Strong communication skills
* To have the ability to work with individuals across departments and liaise with external customers and contacts
* Solid organisational skills and the ability to prioritise a varied workload
* To be willing to study towards a relevant accountancy apprenticeship
