Position Overview: The Middle Office Operations Specialist will be responsible for managing, monitoring, and supporting the trade lifecycle processes, from trade capture to settlement. This role requires a strong understanding of the trading cycle, familiarity with various asset classes, and an ability to work collaboratively across teams to resolve issues promptly.
Key Responsibilities:

Trade Validation & Reconciliation: Accurately verify and validate trade details, ensuring alignment across front, middle, and back office systems. Reconcile trades daily to ensure accuracy in reporting and financial records.

Settlement and Confirmation: Oversee settlement instructions, confirming trades with counterparties, and ensuring timely settlement to prevent any trade breaks.

Risk and Issue Resolution: Identify and resolve operational risks, issues, and breaks. Communicate any potential discrepancies or unusual trading patterns with traders, compliance, and risk teams.

System and Process Management: Monitor trading systems, manage exceptions, and collaborate with IT and system vendors to resolve technical issues or implement upgrades.

Regulatory Reporting: Ensure all regulatory requirements are met by managing accurate and timely reporting of trades in line with jurisdictional requirements (e.g., MiFID II, EMIR).

Documentation and SOP Development: Develop, maintain, and improve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for Middle Office Operations functions. Ensure all team members are trained on new processes and procedures.

Relationship Management: Work closely with internal teams (front office, compliance, back office, and risk) and external counterparties to enhance operational workflows and client service levels.
Qualifications:

Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of experience in middle office operations, ideally within a brokerage, investment bank, or asset management firm.

Skills:
* Strong understanding of trade lifecycle processes across multiple asset classes.
* Proficiency with trading and settlement systems (e.g., Bloomberg, Reuters, FIX protocol).
* High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
* Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to managing operational risks.
* Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
* Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with traders, clients, and other internal/external teams.
