Sphere Solutions are seeking an experienced Engineering Land Surveyor to join a leading contractor on a major civil engineering project at M3 Junction 9. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a surveyor with a strong background in machine control and 3D modelling using Trimble Works OS.

The role will be 80% field-based and 20% office-based for data processing, making it ideal for someone who thrives both on-site and in a technical environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct as-built surveys using GPS rovers and generate accurate progress reports.

*

Process data into cut/fill take-offs for commercial and progress updates using LSS software.

*

Provide support and adjustments to Trimble machine control models in the field.

*

Communicate effectively with machine operators, explaining and implementing design changes.

*

Complete digital quality inspection records on-site using a tablet, ensuring compliance with Inspection and Test Plans.

*

Collaborate with site teams to maintain the highest levels of quality and accuracy.

Requirements:

*

Proven experience as a Land Surveyor on civil engineering or highways projects.

*

Strong working knowledge of Trimble Works OS.

*

Experience with LSS software for data processing and analysis.

*

Understanding of Inspection and Test Plans and quality control processes.

*

Ability to handle on-site design changes and communicate effectively with machine operators.

*

CSCS Card – essential.

*

Drone Pilot Licence – advantageous.
