Job Title: Part-Time Teacher (PGCE with QTS) - SEMH, SEND, EBSA & Recent Exclusions

About Us:
At SEND Inclusion Support, we are committed to providing an inclusive and supportive environment where all students, including those with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), and challenges such as Emotional Based School Avoidance (EBSA) or recent exclusions, can flourish. We aim to create an atmosphere where each pupil is encouraged to reach their full potential academically, socially and emotionally.

We are currently seeking a compassionate and skilled Part-Time Teacher with a PGCE and QTS to work with students who face additional barriers to learning due to SEMH, SEND, EBSA, and recent exclusions. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on students' lives, helping them reintegrate into education and achieve success through tailored teaching and emotional support.

Key Responsibilities:

* Deliver engaging and adaptable lessons to students with SEMH, SEND, EBSA, and recent exclusions, focusing on both academic progress and emotional well-being.

* Develop and implement individualised learning plans that cater to the diverse needs of students, ensuring lessons are accessible and motivating.

* Provide a nurturing environment where students feel safe, valued, and supported as they address social and emotional challenges.

* Collaborate closely with the SENCO, support staff and external professionals to monitor and review individual progress and intervention strategies.

* Support students in overcoming barriers to learning caused by EBSA or exclusion, fostering re-engagement with education and encouraging positive school attendance.

* Promote positive behaviour, resilience, and self-regulation, helping students to build confidence and emotional stability.

* Regularly assess, track, and report on student progress, offering feedback and guidance to students, parents and carers.

Essential Criteria:

* PGCE with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status).

* Experience working with children with SEMH, SEND, EBSA, and/or students who have been recently excluded.

* A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to teaching and supporting students with complex needs.

* Strong communication and relationship-building skills with students, families and colleagues.

* Knowledge of SEND and SEMH strategies and interventions, including approaches for addressing EBSA and reintegrating students post-exclusion.

* Ability to adapt teaching methods and create personalised learning experiences to meet individual student needs.

Desirable Criteria:

* Experience with trauma-informed practices or other relevant approaches to supporting students with EBSA or those at risk of exclusion.

* Additional training in Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, or other SEND-related issues.

Why Join Us?

* A welcoming, supportive team of dedicated professionals committed to making a difference.

* Opportunities for continuous professional development and training.

* Flexible part-time hours that offer a good work-life balance.

* A rewarding role with the opportunity to positively influence the lives of students who need your support.

If you are a motivated, compassionate teacher with experience working with children with SEMH, SEND, EBSA, and those recently excluded, and you have the skills to support these students in overcoming their challenges, we encourage you to apply.
