Hours: Full Time – 37.5 hours per week M-F
Accommodation: This is available as an option if required, however, will incur a cost directly to our client of £26 - £43 per night (£370 - £470 per month).
Overview
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Procurement Business Partner (Band 6) to join our client’s healthcare organisation in Milton Keynes. This role is critical in ensuring efficient procurement processes, managing stakeholder relationships, and overseeing tender and framework activities. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of procurement expertise, public sector experience, and a thorough understanding of relevant regulations.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with organisational goals and compliance requirements.
* Manage and execute tendering processes, ensuring adherence to PCR 2015 regulations.
* Engage with stakeholders across various departments to understand their needs and deliver effective procurement solutions.
* Oversee contract negotiations, renewals, and compliance, ensuring terms are met and value for money is achieved.
* Evaluate and manage supplier performance, fostering positive relationships and resolving any issues that arise.
* Lead procurement projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budgets.
* Utilise e-procurement systems effectively with Atamis knowledge being desirable.
* Ensure all procurement activities comply with relevant laws and regulations, and maintain accurate records and reports.
Person Specification
* In-depth understanding of PCR 2015 and its application.
* Proven track record in procurement within the public sector, preferably NHS, with substantial experience in tendering and frameworks.
* Competent in stakeholder management, contract law, and project management.
* Skilled in Microsoft Office and e-procurement systems; Atamis knowledge is advantageous.
* Relevant degree or equivalent qualification in procurement or related field.
* Professional procurement qualification (e.g., CIPS) preferred but not essential.
Essential Experience
* Extensive experience in procurement, particularly within the public sector or NHS.
* Proven experience in managing tenders and frameworks
* Demonstrated ability to manage stakeholders and suppliers effectively.
* Experience with e-procurement systems and Microsoft Office
