I am actively recruiting a Children's Home Registered Manager on behalf of my client based in Barnsley to manager a 1 bed property. My client supports young people within their care to develop emotional resilience to achieve their full potential in all areas of their lives.

Main purpose of the role:

As the Registered Manager you will hold accountability and overall responsibility for the day to day management of the home to ensure we deliver a high quality level of care, ensuring the home actively promotes the rights of young people as individuals and provides them with quality care in accordance with the policies and procedures of my clients organisation.

You will lead a team of care workers in conjunction with relevant legislation and guidance to ensure that good outcomes are achieve for the young person within the home to meet their physical, psychological, emotional & social development.

Duties include, but not limited to:

* To ensure the development & delivery of high quality care.

* Adherence to all legislative guidelines in respect of Health & Safety.

* To ensure the keeping of appropriate records relating to both young people & staff.

* The provision of management information.

* To develop & promote new techniques and approaches to childcare provision.

* To attend, prepare for and chair various meetings both internally & externally.

* Take on call responsibilities on a rota basis.

* To write concise & evaluative reports.

* To be responsible for decision making when appropriate.

* To oversee recruitment of new staff for the home.

* To ensure all staff are adequately inducted.

* To oversee continuous professional development of staff team.

* Monitoring of the service budget.

* To promote the service in a positive way.

* To liaise with commissioners & referrals manager regarding admissions.

Required Attributes:

* Experience in managing a team.

* Familiarity with the needs of vulnerable individuals.

* Demonstrate high standards of safe working practices.

* Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.

* Flexible & reliable.
