We’re looking for an experienced Design Engineer/Draughtsman to join our client's growing team and play a key role in their engineering department and offers the opportunity to make a real impact on the design and functionality of their waste handling systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design waste handling equipment and steel fabrications using Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD.
- Participate in all stages of the design process, from concept to manufacturing.
- Handle production queries and support cross-departmental communication.
- Conduct site surveys and work with clients to define equipment specifications.
- Provide technical guidance to shop floor, service department, and site engineers.
- Source specialized equipment through collaboration with suppliers.
- Partner with the electrical design team to ensure seamless project integration.
Skills & Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience with AutoCAD / Autodesk Inventor or similar CAD software.
- Background in heavy manufacturing with experience in complex product design.
- Engineering degree or HND preferred.
- Strong organizational skills, a proactive approach, and a high standard of customer service.
- Full driving license required.
