Astute's Power team is partnering with a leading Power Company to recruit an Electrical Engineer for a traveling role around their UK sites, to be based in London or Kent.

The Electrical Engineer role comes with a starting salary of up to £75k plus a benefits package that includes 12% pension, private medical and a car for business needs.

Responsibilities and duties

Reporting to the Asset Support & Outage Team Leader you will:

Working with the site teams on outage, managing a scope of work and ensuring it is completed in a timely manner.
Managing your own scope of work, this will include working on Electrical equipment such as High Voltage switchgear, generators, transformers, rotating plant motors etc.
Acting as the technical authority in relation to design standards, codes of practice and legislation.
The execution of site electrical projects safely and within budget.
Developing asset management strategies.
Identifying areas of improvement across the plant to increase efficiency.
Ensure maintenance plans and targets for the team are achieved safely, on time and within budget and to the correct quality within the environmental limits of the station.
Directing and supervising on site contractors.
Ensuring HSE compliance at all times.

Professional qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

A degree in Electrical Engineer or equivalent
Have previous experience in Electrical maintenance or engineering in a heavy process environment.
Significant experience working with High Voltage equipment including generators and transformers (essential)
A Safety qualification such as IOSH / NEBOSH or equivalent

The Electrical Engineer role would suit someone who is:

Able to work alone as well as part of a team
Organised with strong attention to detail
