The General Dental Council (GDC) is recruiting for a Senior Operations Officer (Register Maintenance) to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. In return you will receive a competitive salary of £27,095 - £31,876 per annum.

This is a hybrid role.

About the role of Senior Operations Officer:

The Register Maintenance team maintain the General Dental Council’s (GDC) dental professional’s registers. This involves managing day to day processes including updating records, registrant online systems and business name enquiries. They also specialise in major projects annually that can determine a registrant’s eligibility to maintain their registration. They work alongside the Fitness to Practise department to ensure they apply the GDC’s legislation correctly and maintain a concise and correct register for the industry and public alike.

About you:

Knowledge and experience of working in an information collection department or a similar environment.

Previous project experience preferred and ability to successfully deliver operational programmes of work.

Basic knowledge and understanding of a regulatory function. 

Strong communication skills: a high standard of written and spoken English with an ability to draft high-quality correspondence written in Plain English; and an ability to build relationships and network internally and externally, motivating, influencing and negotiating as appropriate to different levels of audiences.

Proven ability to make informed decisions using legislation or similar guidance

Experience of working on and contributing to a variety of projects from consultation to implementation and review.

·Experience of using, extracting and manipulating information from databases.       

Proficient in the use of Excel.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and comes to logical conclusions based on careful consideration of all relevant issues.Proven ability to successfully prioritise own complex workload and that of the team to ensure KPI’s are met

Ability to apply regulations on review of evidence and use rationale to identify best solutions. Strong team-workin

skills combined with the ability to work independently, including the willingness and ability to coach and support a team of Officers.

Ability to present and summarise findings and analysis effectively with various stakeholders
