Transport Manager - Job Responsibilities

Oversee and manage the daily operations of the transport department, ensuring efficient and timely delivery of services.
Develop and implement transport strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives.
Monitor and manage fleet performance, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Manage and optimise the use of resources, including vehicles, drivers, and support staff.
Ensure that all drivers and vehicles comply with health and safety regulations, including maintaining accurate records.
Liaise with clients to ensure customer satisfaction and resolve any issues promptly.
Manage budgets, prepare reports, and analyse data to improve operational efficiency.
Lead, mentor, and develop the transport team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Transport Manager - Requirements

A minimum of 5 years of experience in a transport management role.
Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) in Road Haulage is essential.
Membership with the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) is highly desirable.
A Large Goods Vehicle (LGV) license is advantageous but not mandatory.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
A driven individual with a passion for the transport industry and a keen interest in progressing within the company.

£38,000 - £42,000
Mon - Fri 8:00 - 18:00
28 days holiday inc bank holidays.
