My client is now recruiting for a new Financial Accountant role based in Leatherhead.

Description

Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow statements.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards (IFRS, GAAP) and relevant financial regulations.
Assist in the preparation of month-end and year-end closing processes.
Perform detailed account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
Support the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
Maintain the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately.
Process and manage accounts payable and receivable.
Prepare tax filings, VAT returns, and support external audits.
Provide financial analysis and reports to management to support business decisions.
Assist in improving financial systems and processes for better efficiency and accuracy.
Monitor cash flow and assist with cash management activities.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of accounting best practices and regulatory changes.

Profile

May be studying towards an Accountancy qualification.
May have previous experience working as a Financial Accountant.
Proven experience (2+ years) in a financial accounting role.
Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax regulations.
Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel (experience with ERP systems like SAP or Oracle is a plus).
High attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Job Offer

Salary: £30,000 - £50,000
