We are recruiting a compassionate, patient and resilient SEN Teaching Assistant to work at a lovely primary school in the Derbyshire area.
This is a long-term position (permanent for the right candidate) with an immediate start date, or the school can offer flexibility for brilliant applicants.
The working hours are 8:30-15:30, Monday to Friday.
Roles and responsibilities:
* Provide 1:1 or small group support to children with Special Education Needs in both KS1 and KS2.
* Consistently support students in their social, academic and emotional development.
* Adapt your approach to fit the pupil’s individual needs.
* Behaviour management.
* Help to foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Requirements:
* Must have previous experience working with children.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* A Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent is advantageous.
* Experience of supporting individuals with SEN is desirable.
* Experience of working in a Primary school setting is beneficial.
* A passion to make a positive difference in young people’s lives.
* Have an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to get one).
* Be able to provide x2 satisfactory references.
