About Us:

We are excited to be opening a brand new pre-school age nursery in Sutton Coldfield, designed to provide outstanding childcare for up to 40 children. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Nursery Manager to lead the setup and establishment of the nursery, build a nurturing environment, and create a thriving childcare setting from the ground up.

Job Overview:

As our Nursery Manager, you will be responsible for the setup and daily operation of the nursery, ensuring high standards of care and education for all children. You will manage the recruitment and training of staff, implement policies and procedures, and ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations and the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. Your passion for early childhood education, strong leadership skills, and commitment to creating a safe and stimulating environment will be key to the success of our nursery.

Key Responsibilities:

* Setup & Establishment: Lead the initial setup of the nursery, including overseeing the registration process, resourcing, recruitment of staff, and ensuring all operational and regulatory requirements are met.

* Leadership & Management: Manage the day-to-day operations of the nursery, ensuring smooth running, including staffing, planning, and budgeting.

* Childcare Standards: Ensure the delivery of a high standard of care and education, following the EYFS framework, and developing a curriculum that promotes child development.

* Staff Recruitment & Development: Recruit, mentor, and develop a dedicated team of nursery staff, fostering a positive work environment and ensuring ongoing training and professional development.

* Ofsted & Compliance: Ensure the nursery meets all regulatory requirements, including safeguarding, health and safety, and Ofsted guidelines. Prepare for and lead Ofsted inspections.

* Parent & Community Engagement: Build positive relationships with parents and the local community, ensuring excellent communication and involvement in nursery activities.

* Financial Management: Manage the nursery's budget, including forecasting, fee structure, and profitability, while maintaining high-quality resources and environments for children.

Requirements:

* Qualifications: Level 3 Early Years qualification (or higher) is essential. A relevant degree or further qualifications in early childhood education or management would be beneficial.

* Experience: Proven experience in managing a nursery or early years setting, including setup and operational management. Experience with Ofsted inspections is essential.

* Skills: Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills. The ability to manage a team, engage with parents, and oversee all operational aspects of the nursery.
