Fortis are working with a really exciting client to find a Head of Production to lead their team based between Reading and Newbury.

The company operate in the commercial and military aerospace sector and are currently at the beginning of a planned period of growth.

As the Head of Production you will be responsible for overseeing and optimising the entire production process. This will include delivering products on time, in budget and to specification whilst maintaining the highest levels of quality, safety and compliance. To achieve this you will lead a team of skilled engineers, technicians and production staff. Due to the nature of the products you will need to be used to working in a highly regulated industry and be able to attain security clearance.

Key areas of responsibility are

* Budgeting and cost management

* Cross functional collaboration

* Stakeholder management

Leadership experience in a mechanical and electrical manufacturing environment is essential and having worked in the defence sector would be an advantage.
