A successful family-owned building company that specialises in insurance repairs is looking for an Accounts Assistant to join its established team due to new long-term contracts.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a busy office in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for purchase ledger entries, purchase ledger reconciliations, bank statement reconciliations, credit card reconciliations and general office filing duties. The role we be commencing of a new costing system linked to Sage Accounts. The role will be looking at ways of automating and ensuring filing of invoices is electronic. The role would suit a number of circumstances but someone studying or willing to study for NVQ or AAT qualification to develop the role further.
As Accounts Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
Entry and reconciliation of purchase ledger transactions
Bank statement reconciliation
Credit card transaction entry and reconciliation
Assisting setting up job costing set up
General office / filing duties
We are looking for a Accounts Assistant who has the following skills and experience:
Previous experience of purchase ledger entry would be beneficial
Previous experience of bank reconciliations would be beneficial
Previous experience of working with Sage Accounts would be beneficial
Enjoys working within a small team
Good communication skills and self motivating
Willingness to study towards an AAT or NVQ qualification
In return, you will receive a salary of up to £26,500 per annum depending on experience, bonus scheme, pension contribution (hourly paid based on 40-hour standard week 09.00-17.00, Monday-Friday (hours negotiable)).
