Graduate Teaching Assistant – Secondary School (Salford) – Full Time – Potential to Go Permanent

Forever Teaching is excited to be partnering with a fantastic secondary school in Salford to recruit a motivated and passionate Graduate Teaching Assistant. This is a full-time role, offering the opportunity to gain valuable experience in the classroom with the potential to become a permanent position after 12 weeks.

This position is perfect for aspiring teachers looking to develop their skills and experience in a supportive and dynamic environment. You’ll have the chance to work alongside experienced educators, deliver 1:1 interventions, and cover classes when required.

Role:
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will be working closely with students in a range of subjects. You will provide in-class support, assist with 1:1 interventions, and step in to cover classes in the absence of the regular teacher. This role offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a school setting, building your teaching skills and preparing you for a future career in education.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide in-class support for students across a variety of subjects.

Deliver 1:1 interventions to support students’ academic progress.

Assist teachers in planning, preparing, and delivering lessons.

Cover classes in the absence of the teacher, ensuring students remain engaged and on track.

Work with small groups of students to improve their understanding of the curriculum.

Support students’ social, emotional, and academic development.

*

Help to create a positive, inclusive classroom environment.

Requirements:

*

A degree in any subject (essential).

*

A passion for education and a desire to pursue a career in teaching.

*

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

*

Excellent organisational abilities and the ability to manage groups of students.

*

Previous experience working with young people is desirable but not essential.

*

A proactive and positive attitude.
