SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: South Manchester     Daily rate: £85-£95

Cover People are currently recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants to work within SEN schools across South Manchester.

The Role:

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with additional needs? We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant to work within our SEN schools to help create a safe and secure environment for their students. As a Teaching Assistant you must be confident managing challenging behaviour.

Key Responsibilities:

Supporting the educational and social development of children with special educational needs (SEN).
 Assisting teachers in implementing individual education plans for pupils.
 Providing one-to-one support to children with SEN in the classroom.
 Helping pupils with SEN to participate in all aspects of the curriculum.
 Collaborating with other professionals, such as speech therapists and occupational therapists, to support pupil progress.
Candidate Requirements:

Must hold an Enhanced DBS Disclosure.
Experience working with individuals with Special Educational Needs and complex needs.
An NVQ Level 3 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent qualification.
Knowledge of SEN strategies and best practices with the ability to adapt to any situation.
Patience and empathy when working with children with SEN.
Excellent communication skills.
