Transport Planner - Rugby
We are recuiting an experienced Transport Planner for our worldwide logistics client in Rugby
This is a 5 month initial agency contract with the possibility of being extended
The salary is circa £27,000, paid hourly at £13.85 per hour. 37.5 hours per week
Hours of work are 10am - 6pm, Monday to Friday
Responsibilities:
• To demonstrate a keen eye whilst working under pressure.
• De-brief drivers ensuring we keep a tight control on all aspects of the paperwork.
• To plan routes and deliveries in a cost effective way
• Proactive communication with delivery partners and customers
• Monitoring deliveries through the network
• Maintain a safe working environment by ensuring you comply with statutory law, company policy & health & safety guidelines
• Assist in the adherence to Drivers Hours Regulations in accordance with the working time directive.
• Ensuring drivers have correct paperwork for deliveries & are aware of any customer requirements
• Ensure that all relevant statutory laws, EU Drivers Hours Rules & Regulations, Road Transport (Working Time) Regulations, Operators Licence and OCRS obligations, FORS requirements are adhered too and all Company policies and procedures communicated and applied at all times.
• Ensure that drivers are issued with the correct documentation and fully informed on both the customers’ requirements and our expectations.
• Communicate all issues and concerns with both internal and external customers and the Transport Planning teams in a timely manner and maintain an open and transparent dialogue with all parties
Required:
Transport Industry Experience (Planning experience is preferred)
Excellent customer service and communication skills
A high level of attention to detail
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word/Excel/Powerpoint and Outlook
Live locally to Rugby or have the means to be able to commute
Be available for an immediate start
