First Achieve are seeking for an electrician for their client in their client based in Livingstone who supplies forged products globally to the aerospace and energy markets
ROLE
To carry out repairs and preventative maintenance to a high level responding quickly and efficiently to plant breakdowns.
To assist with the successful introduction of new/modified parts, equipment and tooling. To ensure that high standards of health, safety and housekeeping are met.
To assist with undertaking risk assessments and re-assessments
To monitor and assist with the implementation of safe systems of work
To undertake weekly inspections as required
To comply with legislative requirements
To undertake daily statutory checks To develop efficient working processes and seek ways to continuously improve all aspects of your own job. Electrician
To apply fault finding and problem-solving skills relating to manufacture and equipment failure to continually improve processes.
To participate in continuous improvement activities such as Lean manufacturing techniques, T.P.M, Asset Care, and 6's etc
To work towards predictive maintenance methodology.
To ensure that new starters follow the maintenance training programme and that the skill matrices are maintained and updated.
To ensure the upkeep of team boards and the completion of administration as required.Knowledge and Experience
Time serve Electrician City & Guilds 2360, HNC level or equivalent City & Guilds
Must have a proven track record of fault finding with the ability to read technical drawings.
Using test equipment and hand tools to diagnose, locate and fix electrical problems.
Carrying out electrical installations and carrying out preventative maintenance work
Interpreting work instructions, drawings and schematic drawings
Computer literate
Able to work at heights and in enclosed spaces
Prior industry experience in electrical maintenance covering medium voltage distribution systems, equipment breakdowns, trouble shooting, and working with inspection and maintenance programmes to meet statutory requirements is essential.
