Job Title / Position: Technical Operator

Position Type: Temporary to Permanent

Work Location: Orton Southgate, Peterborough, Cambridgeshire

Hourly Rate:
Base rate Days £13.10 per hour
Base rate Nights £14.95 per hour

Shifts / Hours: 06:00 - 18:00 / 18:00 - 06:00, Panama shifts. 2 on, 2 off, 3 on, 2 off, 2 on, 3 off

The Technical Operator optimises productivity within the factory, assisting the Team Leader at change overs by setting up the machinery, instructing staff and completing SAP / paperwork processes, covering Team Leaders during breaks and for holidays and sickness, during the rest of the time the Technical Operator fulfils Production Operative duties. Work performed and service rendered must always be of the highest standard and priority. The overall purpose is to maximise the effectiveness of Production Operatives, production equipment, up time and efficiency as measured through KPI’s.

Salary Breakdown:

* Base rate £12.39 per hour

* Days - 12 hour shift allowance £0.71 = £13.10 per hour

* Night - 12 hours shift allowance £2.56 per hour = £14.95 per hour

* Tx½ over 48 hours £18.59 per hour

* Shift allowance only paid on base hours
