A renowned construction consultancy in Scotland is seeking a skilled CDM Principal Designer to join their team in Glasgow. This role is pivotal in ensuring compliance with CDM Regulations 2015 and promoting the highest standards of health & safety across diverse projects.
The CDM Principal Designer's Role
The successful CDM Principal Designer will play a critical role in managing design risks and ensuring that projects adhere to safety regulations.
Identifying, assessing, and mitigating design risks throughout the project lifecycle.
Ensuring all projects comply with CDM 2015 regulations and other relevant health and safety standards.
Providing expert advice to clients, contractors, and design teams on CDM compliance and safety best practices.
Preparing and reviewing essential health and safety documents, including pre-construction information and construction phase plans.
Working closely with project teams to integrate safety considerations from the design phase through to project completion.
The Successful CDM Principal Designer
Significant experience in a CDM Principal Designer role within the construction industry.
Relevant industry qualifications such as NEBOSH Construction Certificate, APS membership, or equivalent.
Comprehensive understanding of CDM 2015 regulations and current health and safety legislation.
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.
A proactive and collaborative mindset to ensure effective safety management in all projects.
