Capgemini Engineering is looking for Software Engineers/Consultants to join our rapidly growing High Integrity Software team to support one of UK’s leading Aerospace organisations.
Our team develops Software for safety related and critical applications in the Space, Aerospace, Defence, Rail, Automotive and Energy sectors.

Hybrid working: The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.

Your Role
As a Software Engineer/Consultant within Capgemini, you will be working alongside some of the top experts in the country, on some of the largest and most complex client engagements across the space sector. You will be given the opportunity to grow and take on responsibility from day one in a challenging but rewarding and meritocratic environment.
You will work in a team of engineers specifying, developing and testing safety related or critical software. Depending on your particular area of strength and expertise your responsibilities will include a subset of the following:
* Writing software level requirements in natural language or in formal method notations.
* Generating software architectures.
* Generating software designs.
* Generating code (we use Python, C, C++, Ada, SPARK, and Java for example).
* Following testing strategies and plans and generating appropriate test designs, cases, scripts and test evidence.
* Contributing to writing software development, test strategies and other plans.
* Supporting safety engineers in the development of evidence for software safety cases.
* Working on sales proposals.
Your Skills and Experience
* Knowledge of the software development V-model life-cycle.
* Experience in on or more of the above software disciplines.
* Experience in at least one of the following markets: aerospace, transport, defence, rail, automotive.
* Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to quickly build rapport with othersSelf-motivated and able to use initiatives.
* Organised, good time management and prioritisation
* Methodical approach to work, with good attention to details and strong logic and reasoning skills
Good to have:
* Degree qualified in software engineering or related/relevant subject.
* Chartered Engineer and member of the IEEE or BCS.
* Knowledge and experience in static analysis techniques
