We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Full-Time Nursery Assistant to join a vibrant and nurturing educational setting in Thornbury. Key Responsibilities:
* Provide support and care to children with SEND/SEMH needs in a nurturing nursery environment.
* Assist with planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development.
* Work closely with teachers and support staff to implement individual learning plans tailored to each child’s needs.
* Encourage social interaction and emotional growth through positive reinforcement and structured activities.
* Ensure the safety and well-being of all children at all times.
* Support children with personal care needs where necessary, maintaining dignity and respect.
Requirements:
* Previous experience working with young children in an educational or childcare setting is essential.
* A patient, caring, and proactive attitude with a genuine passion for working with children with additional needs.
* Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with staff, parents, and external professionals.
* Relevant childcare qualification (e.g., Level 2 or 3 in Early Years Education or equivalent) is desirable but not essential.
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
