Teaching Personnel currently have an exciting opportunity for a passionate and dedicated Learning Support Manager to work across Post 16 Colleges in Southampton and the surrounding areas.
The Role:
Develop and manage the strategic vision for SEND provision across the colleges
Ensuring a high-quality provision with the aim of raising aspirations and achievement for students and apprentices with SEND. This will include supporting in the leadership and development of SEND and developing and improving the quality of teaching, monitoring and support.
Specialist for SEND
Qualifications:
Teaching Qualification e.g. QTS, QTLS, Cert Ed, or an appropriate professional qualification up to Level 4
Management Qualification or experience
SENCO Qualified status or experience of working as a SENCO in an education setting
Skills/Experience:
Knowledge of and/or teaching aspects of an FE curriculum and in particular Numeracy and Literacy
Experience of identifying, monitoring, evaluating and providing effective strategies for students with SEND
Previous experience of effective tracking of EHCP outcomes
Experience of developing and leading a learning support team to meet a range of educational needs
Experience of the procedures for completing High Needs Funding Forms
Excellent IT skills. a high level of competency and experience of using databases and the ability to transfer skills to learn new systems
