Job Title:                     Transport Operations Manager
Location:                     Liverpool
Salary:                         £45,000 - £53,000 + Car Allowance, 25 Holidays, Pension
  
We are supporting the search for a Transport Manager on behalf of a leading 3PL with a network of depots across the UK.

You will take the lead role in managing transport operations in a multi-customer environment.  Experience of working within a transport network and collaborating with other sites would be a real advantage in this role.
  
The Role:
The purpose of the role is to ensure exceptional customer service and delivery performance is achieved, whilst ensuring best in class compliance and safety standards throughout the operation.

A summary of responsibilities includes:

Ensuring a flexible, cost-efficient transport operations is achieved on a daily basis, in collaboration with the planning team.
Support and lead the transport operations team ensuring the department runs effectively across all areas of: operations, service, safety, and compliance.
Support customer meetings, reporting on SLA’s and ensuring transport performance is aligned with customer expectations.
Support CI projects, working alongside the customer and other internal stakeholders. The Candidate:
As the Transport Manager you will be the O’ Licence holder for the site therefore, a CPC qualification is an essential requirement for this role, along with a sound knowledge of legal compliance and UK legislation.

We are looking for somebody with strong engagement skills, who can bring together stakeholders across various departments whilst supporting operational projects and managing business as usual.  Collaboration and excellent communication skills also a key requirement.

It would be highly desirable if you have experience of working within a transport network and/or experience of working with specialist fleet. 

With safety being at the forefront of business a recognised health and safety would be an advantage.

The Package:

Salary £45,000 - £53,000 per annum
