Location: Sittingbourne
Salary: £28 000 - £37 000
Hours of Work: Monday – Friday 08:00 – 17:00

Connect Personnel are representing a longstanding client who are a leading UK Waste Management Company. They are buyers and sellers of Ferrous and Non-Ferrous metals. As well as buying from members of the public & business’s they are also able to provide the Skip Services, Copper & Battery Collections, Ferrous Metals and Non-Ferrous Metals. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Site Supervisor with experience in Waste & Recycling.
Job Description
• Site Supervisor to oversee all aspects of production, logistics, materials and staffing on site.
• To work with the Operations Managers to oversee and enforce the existing procedures and processes in accordance with the company systems, Health & Safety requirements and legislative regulations.
• Liaise with Ops Manager to coordinate all ongoing and planned site operations as needed to ensure an efficient operation is maintained and all resources are utilised to their maximum.
• Inspect materials being produced and baled for quality and irregularities, inspect loads leaving site to ensure they are of the expected standard before leaving site.
• Ensure Site Rules and Health & Safety are always adhered to by all site users, reporting all H&S breaches and working with the Management team to continually improve.
• Oversee plant operators to ensure they complete their mobile plant checks properly, ensure mobile plant check sheets are complete and liaise with Ops Managers with regards to repairs, maintenance and servicing of mobile plant.
• Assist Team Leader in resolving issues and helping to reduce MRF plant downtime.
Key Requirements
• Essential you have experience within the waste and recycling industry, ideally within a metals recycling facility.
• Similar Team Leader or Site Supervisor level experience.
• Knowledge of waste recycling legislation, regulations, standards and best practices.
• Excellent communication skills.
