Position: 1st Line Support Onsite Engineer
Location: Dorset (Near Salisbury)
Salary: Up to £34,800 (Including Car Allowance) + Comprehensive Benefits Package

Role Overview:
We are seeking an Onsite Engineer to deliver exceptional on-site support for daily operations and various ad-hoc tasks at one or multiple customer sites. This role involves providing essential hardware support, PC and laptop imaging, helpdesk assistance, desktop support, video conferencing support, printer maintenance, installations, relocations, and 1st line support.

Eligibility Requirements:

Must be eligible for Security Clearance; must have been settled in the UK for the past 5 years. Preferably holds or has previously held SC security clearance or NPPV3 (subject to successful vetting).
No prior criminal convictions as this will likely affect vetting outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide on-site technical support for end-user technology, including desktop computing and corporate IT services.
Manage administrative tasks and update ticketing systems.
Occasionally travel to other sites, such as Bristol or Exeter, to support other staff or locations (car allowance and travel expenses covered).
Work independently and remotely on a variety of products, performing installations and troubleshooting in both software and hardware environments.
Follow documented procedures provided by CDW or the customer and adapt to procedural changes as necessary. Update procedures and documentation for team benefit.
Pursue personal development, contribute to management appraisals, and seek growth opportunities in alignment with personal ambitions and organizational needs.

Candidate Profile:

Proven skills and knowledge in relevant technology areas, with prior IT or field experience (training provided for specific job requirements).
Experience with office relocations, new hardware installations, and basic server maintenance (experience with Lenovo workstations and Dell servers preferred).
Understanding of troubleshooting, fault finding, and hardware repairs.
Relevant certifications or qualifications (e.g., CompTIA A+/N+).
Ideally pursuing or holding certifications such as MCDST, ITIL Foundation v4.
